Flea Market at Chaffin Congregational Church

Chaffin Congregational Church, 155 Shrewsbury St., Holden, has re-scheduled its flea market for Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Spaces (approximately 10’x10’) may be reserved for $15.00 by calling 508-736-3887 or e-mailing r.beales@yahoo.com. Tables may be rented for an additional $10.00.

  • Chaffin Church will hold additional flea markets on June 7, June 28, August 9, and September 13.

Refreshments will be available.

Food Pantry Wish List

Please remember your neighbors in need. Call 508-829-2749, and organize a food drive for the pantry, or donate food at one of the WFP food bins in libraries and post offices throughout the region.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO ASSIST PEOPLE WITH VISION LOSS

MAB Community Services, formerly The Massachusetts Association for the Blind is seeking volunteers throughout the Worcester/Holden area. Volunteers with weekday availability and a car, who would like to lend a helping hand, are needed to drive and escort area residents with vision loss to their medical appointments.

  • A small stipend is available.
  • Training and supervision are provided.

Help support the Wachusett Food Pantry with donations of:

  • 100 percent juice (concentrate unfrozen cans great for storage),

  • canned chicken or ham,

  • shampoo,

  • applesauce or other canned fruit,

  • diced tomatoes or other tomato products,

  • special diet items like sugar free jelly and no-salt veggies,

  • peanut butter,

  • pancake mix and syrup,

  • toilet paper,

  • baby wipes and

  • cold cereals.
